Monomex Launches New R&D Initiative in rPET Recycling Technologies
At Monomex, we continue to develop high-value-added solutions in plastic recycling technologies. As part of this effort, we have launched a new R&D project focused on increasing the IV value of rPET materials using the reactive extrusion method and on the online monitoring of process quality.
The developed technology aims to enable the reuse of recycled PET materials in high-performance products. The project evaluates a specialized screw-barrel design, a high-efficiency vacuum degassing system, gravimetric dosing, and an online process control infrastructure.
This approach aims to establish a more controlled and sustainable production infrastructure to address critical issues encountered in the rPET process, such as moisture, IV decline, quality fluctuations, and additive dosing precision.
Monomex’s engineering approach is not merely about manufacturing machines; it involves addressing the material, the process, and the final quality together to develop advanced technology solutions applicable to industry.
In line with the goals of rPET recycling, the circular economy, and sustainable production, Monomex will continue to develop high-value-added extrusion technologies using its in-house engineering expertise.
