HFFR Halogen Free Flame Retardant

Hffr Halogen Free Flame Retardant
HFFR (Halogen Free Flame Retardant) materials are mainly compounds containing Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), Aluminum Tri Hydroxide Al(OH)3 (ATH) and Polyethylene (PE).

HFFR (Halogen Free Flame Retardant) materials are mainly compounds containing Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), Aluminum Tri Hydroxide Al(OH)3 (ATH) and Polyethylene (PE). Although Magnesium Oxide is used instead of ATH as a flame retardant in some products, these products are generally not preferred by Turkish cable manufacturers as they are very expensive. HFFR compound production has become cheaper with the twin screw co-rotate extruder system we have developed as a result of the R&D studies carried out by our company, and it will fill the gap quickly by becoming a brand in the fast investing market. Our company stands by the investors with both the formulation to be used in production and the extrusion systems for HFFR production in today's fastest expanding market.

To give an example formulation: 23% LDPE + 2% Addative + 70% ATH

In this formulation, temperatures should not be above 160 °C. If the temperatures rise above 160 °C, the flow of the compound material will be disrupted as H2O will be formed.

As an alternative to ATH, Magnesium Hydroxide Mg(OH)2 can be used in the same formulation. Temperatures can be worked higher in this formulation.

In addition, with Monomex extrusion systems, Cross-linkable PE compounds and special products can be developed for low, medium and high voltage cables on an elastomer basis.
