Calcite Use In Plastic Industry

Calcite Use in Plastic Industry
Calcite is known as a filling material in the plastic industry and is often used by mixing (Compounding) into high proportions of plastic materials to cheapen plastic materials.

Assuming that the quality changes in proportion to what the customer wants, we should specify all the characteristics of the products in such a way that they are easily accessible to the customers. Compound material made in plastic, which is our subject, must successfully pass the relevant tests, which are similar to the customer's request, from the default example of fire resistance to UV light resistance, from tensile strength to tensile strength. After all, if the products successfully pass customer-requested tests, it means that the correct Compound has also been made.

In today's competitive environment, companies should produce new materials that are cheaper and whose properties are improved by developing the materials they are used in their production, or they should find a partner company to produce them.

As an example of what we wrote recently, the leading companies in the film sector that produce only with LDPE at the time initially managed to make film production cheaper by adding 5% of this Compound material to LDPE in film production by producing 10% calcite-filled LDPE Compound material. Currently, 80% calcite-filled LDPE Compound material is produced and 50% is added to LDPE in film production. Of course, it is not known if these rates have reached the highest level, there may be more compound rates in the future. Even film production is aimed at production only with Compound material. We wish the researchers success in this regard.

Similarly, in colloquially known heating pipes, the middle layer is used as aluminium foil, while researchers developed a new material, PPRC & glass fiber Compound material.

As a result, it is necessary to reduce the prices of today's materials without compromising the quality determined by the tests or to be able to produce more improved materials at the same price.

A double screw co-rotate extruder is used in the production of Compound materials. This extruder mixes materials with heat treatment in the best way possible to produce new qualified materials. The machine that is ultimately formulated and must be used to develop material with thermoplastic properties is twin screw extruder. Of course, we have written our title as plastic sector, but calcite is used in many different materials, from food to cosmetics, from medicine to paint sector.

Our sample application improves properties especially in PP and PE type plastics when calcite is formulated up to 10% th. Of course, the important thing here is the right mixing under the right heat treatment. In order to achieve a homogeneous structure of mixing, it is necessary to form a tight bond between the carrier and the filler. This bond must be strong enough to form a new material that acts as a single material during the finishing process by intertwining and fusing with each other, also called a grift. The only machine that will form this bond is the twin-screw extruder that rotates in the same direction.

As a result, it is more important that materials produced with quality to meet customer needs can provide the desired properties than their content (formula).

We wish the scientists who are researching materials that are more affordable and whose properties have been improved success in this regard.

Of course, we have written our title as the plastic sector, but calcite is used in many different areas, from food to cosmetics, from medicine to paint sector. But is calcite innocent and useful? Or is it sold more expensive than it is to us, reducing the quality of our materials before we notice it?
